|Welcome to Olivet Covenant
"Celebrating over 150 years of Worship"
Founded in 1856
|WHO WE ARE
|Olivet Covenant Church is situated in the Fairmount/Spring Garden section of Philadelphia. Located just a few blocks from the Franklin Institute,
the Museum of Art, the Rodin Museum and picturesque Boathouse Row, we serve a community nestled in the center of some of the city’s finest
cultural attractions and restaurants. These various assets have helped to make the neighborhood a lively and desirable place to be.
But regardless of attractions, it is the people who make a neighborhood and likewise a church. We seek to be a welcoming community to all,
regardless of age, race, education or social standing. It is Jesus Christ who brings us together and the Holy Spirit who holds us together in God’s love.
Sunday morning begins at 10 a.m. with our Adult Forum, a class where we read and discuss various Christian books. Recently we have studied C.S.
Lewis’ Mere Christianity, Augustine’s Confessions, Bonhoeffer’s Life Together and most recently, the life and sermons of John Chrysostom.
Worship begins at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary and the Lord’s Supper is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month. Spend a Sunday morning with
us and see who we are for yourself—we look forward to seeing you!
